'Darkron' recently sent me a message about Jail Door Enduro bodies. Looking for something that might qualify, I finished up an old Matra 620 mould I started some time ago- for no particular reason except that I 'm not aware of any other versions.
Anyway, here's the first Lexan test shot hurriedly painted and pinned to a Mike Steube chassis I just happened to have lying around.... Yes. Check it out. Howmet has a Steube chassis! Just wanted you all to know.
The Matra accepts a 4" wheelbase, 3" width frame, and there's 1 9/16" ahead of the front axle for a healthy guide lead. In other words it fits on Lola T70 or Lotus 40 jail door frame.
Now I want to install a cool interior- and headlights for night-time driving.
The first batch are on their way to Darkron. Let me know how they do.
