I just installed a set of home track wheels on my 1/24 car. The Ortmann tires don't really match the width of the rim. Any suggestions.
Help me out good dokktor.
Thanks, Bob

Yes, they look narrower than the stock tires. It matters not. What matters is that they fit over the ridge on the rim. Do not worry if the outer rim edge sticks past the sidewall of the tire. Make sure that the flat side wall is on the inside of the rim.
Do not attempt to true the tires. Break them in with one or two traction magnets on the car. Once broken in, they will be smooth and round. There will be a lot of tire debris on the top of the steel pan. Clean it up and that's it for many hours of fun.

That's how I set them. Thanks for the confirmation.

Hey, Dokk,
Is there an aluminum wheel that will fit the Ortmann Tires 1/24th.
Thanks,
Bob

The tires work great. The local track owner ran both an Auto Art and a Carrera Car, neither, as you would have guessed, is a match for the TSR car even when he ran the voltage on his lane up to 18 volts.

That car looks real sweet on the track, too. P was testing it a few weeks back.
