2) Ron Van Wagnen - 259, 5.105 in blue
3) Bernie Schatz - 259, 5.109 in blue (six feet behind Ron!)
4) Guillermo Suar - 252, 5.287 in green
5) Larry Kelley - 250, 5.199 in blue

I was lucky enough to get a really cool looking TriPod roller with a laced out concourse body handed to me by Rob Hansen after a few practice laps proved my own car was not going to cut the mustard. Thanks Rob, 16 heats of tuning only got us in the ball park !
Too bad you didn't say something sooner. 15 minutes before the end of tech is not the time to get a different car, put your hand out motor in it and attempt to do some laps. It didn't help that the track had tightened up from my practice with it on the previous day. I know you guessed on tires and added lead on the way to the tech line, but most people don't.
Maybe you can build a winner out of the Samurai II chassis plate that you won? Ray said he would mail it to you
