Hi Phillipe,
Thank you for your info.
Yes I do know this is box for RTR car.
It directlly came from Tamiya mokei in 70s.
I heard that Tamiya had the box for both RTR and Kit car
in last year.
Thanks

Hi Rihiro,
Everything is possible but it does not sound like something Tamiya or MRC (Model Rectifier Corporation) would have done. I believe that it may have been an error rather than something done voluntarily...
Here are the three known boxes:
1/ the Japanese-issue kit (also sold that way in the UK and Europe):
2/ the USA-issue kit distributed by MRC with the special box:
3/ The ready to race version only sold in the USA but exported to Europe and Australia by MRC:
And for your enjoyment, the beautiful factory assembled and decorated RTR. Note the clar plastic roof painted on its inside, and the slightly yellowed body that no longer matches the roof color...

...I think Midori chassis is best fit to Arii cars.,,
Why is one make better than another? I assume this is just a model kit and not a slot car body with chassis mounts built in?

Yup, The Arii is just a model kit. It actually seems to line up well with a spare K&B I have in the parts bin. It won't be a scorcher but that's okay.

Love that model, I think Fly made a run of it but I don't know how accurate it is to this model?
I want to remake on of this ones from Fly and see what I can do with it, I know it will be not accurate for sure because I have a bad habit to
modernize it.
Love the rear canopy of the car.
Thanks for sharing it .

In this bright future you can't forget your past.
BMW (Bob Marley and the Wailers)
United we stand and divided we fall, the Legends are complete.
I'm racing the best here at BP but Father time is much better then all of us united.
Not a snob in this hobby, after all it will be gone, if we keep on going like we do, and I have nothing to prove so I keep on posting because I have nothing to gain.
It's our duty to remember the past so we can have a future.
Pistol Pete you will always be in my memory.

Gentlemen,
I know Tamiya and German Stabo had a joint venture in some of their 124 cars like the Lotus 40 and the King Cobra de Tomaso. Until now I guessed it could have been the same with the Porsche Carrera 6 but I was wrong comparing those nice pics from Philippe showing the stunning Tamiya RTR. It came to me also now that Stabo borrowed a real Crarrera 6 from Porsche to "copy" and adapt it for the 124 body back these times.
See attached pics of a factory detailed and assembled 124 Carrera 6 from Stabo which should be in fact a Carrera 8 considering the 8 intakes .....

Martin.
The Stabo Porsche has no parts in common with the Tamiya and indeed there were several 906 with the then-new 8 cylinder engine.

P
