New track in NASCARland... Mooresville, NC. Owner Shannon Connor is an ex DEI employee jumping into raceway ownership with both feet and a cool three track setup on the main drag in Mooresville.

Some 1:1 drivers have come in to check it out and promised to come back to race... Right now things are just at the 16D stage, but lots of old racers are dusting off their slot boxes nd upgrading.

King and pinched oval are Ogilvie, flat hillclimb possibly Hasse. Hillclimb looks like a real challenge for Retro...

Really nice-looking race facility. I wish them all the luck in the world.

The Hillclimb looks a lot like the one we had in Vegas except the big turn was banked and not as flat as this track. I guess Hasse was the the only builder that didn't put a look in the donut.

All in all, it looks like the people in Mooresville are going to have a great place to race!

I miss that style donut on the hillbclimb. There was a raceway called Fast Tracks in Londerry, NH back in 92 that had a 110 foot like the one picture except of course the sweeping turn was banked.

A motor is only as fast as the chassis it's in.

I put a hillclimb somewhat like that in Vegas in '91... I later heard it ended up in Utah... it had the big semi banked turn on the bottom, was at John Barlion's track.

I see you are starting to race on the little hillclimb... I think it would be great for retro Formula 1 :D ... Good for can-am, but everyone will want to run those missles on the king... NASCAR, of course on the oval. Hope to get up there soon, if only there weren't so many bills!!! :laugh2:

I think the Race City Hill Climb would make a great 1/32 track. And NO...........not Womp-Womps. I'm talking real race cars.
