We had another great day of SERRA™ racing at Middle GA Slotcar in Warner Robins on Saturday, October 24. The low turn-out was sort of expected, as a number of the SERRA™ regulars had conflicts, surgeries, etc. Even my SERRA™ co-director passed on this race, choosing instead to attend his father's 86th birthday celebration in FL. I gotta talk to him about priorities, that's certain. LOL!!

Pablo Wolcott and John Clow made very long drives from Bay St. Louis, MS, and Mobile, AL and it was great to have them join us. One new face appeared, Joey Newbern, a long-time drag racers wanting to try some turns. And if his results at this are any indication, Joey is a natural.

Many thanks to Kim Landers and Warren Hatfield, who dropped in to watch and ended up helping to marshal. And thanks to Ralph Thorne, who subbed for the AWOL Jay Guard at the tech table.

For some odd reason, the Stock Car class was the best race of the day; it was a lot cleaner than Can-Am. It is simply amazing to me how well these three inch wide cars handle.

Never forget that first place goes to the racer with the MOST laps, not the racer with the FASTEST lap

That would be a great photo, sans the orange bag coming out of his mouth. Can you fix it?

Ralph never messes with anyone, he runs clean. :D

C'mon, Ralph, you had to know there'd be a price to pay for ragging me about how long it took me to get the pics from #17 posted. LOL!!!

And I didn't even mention the plaques...

Speaking of plaques, I just finished them up.

Thanks, Don. I guess a new tradition has started.
