It looks like we're going to have quite a turnout for this month's SERRA™ race at 'Slots of Fun'.

First Pablo, and I assume John too, has said he is coming. He wants to feast on another one of Karen's breakfasts  at the B&B and then go racing down the street!

Next, Marty Stanley out of Florida will be making his second Fall trip to Abbeville. I had to bribe him with his own personal plate of Brenda's sausage pinwheels to get him to make the trip! Coming with him will be CMF3, builder of some really unique chassis from the "other" blog. Riding with them will be arguably the TOP chassis builder on the East Coast... Tony P!!!

I've also heard that Macman out of Charlotte will be joining us again for this year's SERRA™ race.

So who else will be coming?

Glad to know I am a special guest... I am busy trying to recruit some more retro racers for the trip, and working on a two-rail F1 chassis that started out as this...

It will be a pleasure to meet all the SERRA™ guys. Take it easy on an old man in the race though...

TonyP,

That's very thoughtful of you, concerning yourself with how they are trying to run me over during the race!

They're a great bunch up there, I just wish I could make more trips each year.

Regardless of whatever happens, it will be a great time.

As always, I look forward to the FUN that I have while racing. Everything else is just add-ons.

Vic,

I can bring the same webcam I used at the Sano and will talk to Don Berni to see if we can make it happen. I don't recall what sort of connection Slots of Fun has and we also need a wireless laptop (or a long USB cable) to be able to place the camera where it needs to be.

But I'm willing to give it a go if we can get all the pieces lined up...

Tony, you already know a several of the SERRA™ guys: me, Jay, Ralph, etc.

I know and that scares me. LOL...

Looking forward for the trip. Haven't raced a retro car since Dom's back in April... It should be fun...

Tony,

You're in for a real treat, as I doubt you have ever visited a raceway like Slots of Fun. Bet you go home with a whole bagful of stuff!

Looking forward to seeing you again. It's been a while...

Thanks, Greg.

It would be fun for us to be able to watch what's going on. I know we sure enjoyed the Sano, and what a great job you guys did so we could be there with you. Joe is still talking about it!! He hopes to one day be able to meet you guys in person. These are the hopes that keep him going from day to day.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that we think its great that you guys go out of your way to bring the races to those of us who can't attend in person. This, in turn, keeps us in the loop as well as others like us. AND - it really helps to promote slot racing as well!!!

We thank you -

Vic/Joe+Jennie

Vic,

I've PM'd Don Berni to give me a call so we can see if we have the stuff we need to make it happen at Slots of Fun. No promises, but we'll see what can be done.
