Well, it's not original and I certainly broke my $40 rule but I wanted a copy I could race with my other Can-Am cars, sooooo...

It will need some detailing but I'm happy to have a version of this car. It will stand up to some crashes and I won't have to be worried about destroying the pricey original.

It's amazing how popular this version of Jim's car is. Even "fair" copies like this bring a pretty fair number of bids and a higher price than you might imagine. It will interesting to see what happens to the vintage car price when someone like Carrera or Auto Art gets the license to manufacture these in 1/24.

Does anyone know where I can get a proper set of "stacks" for this car and maybe a more "original" looking windscreen?

Thanks

Paul, yes, but you will have to pay as much for these two parts as what you paid for the car... :(
There are no short cuts. ;)

Yikes. :shok:

Okay, PdL, thanks for the tip. I did cut down the windscreen and it looks much better. The intake stacks are very toy-like and I'll need to find something to replace them.

Also, the body is VERY thick and heavy! It will need a good bath, sanding, and a paint job. Decals from ED are on the way.

The rear wing appears to be from a model kit and will require some work as well.

Ahhhh, yet another project. ;)
