Found this at a local hobby fair recently, along with a heap of old Model Cars (UK) magazines from the 1960s.
Pretty amazing and unexpected find over here I'd say, as I never knew Russkit also was in the recording business.
Anyone here knows of more issues on the "Russkit Records" label? :?

Too sad my old vinyl player is out of order . . .

How bizarre!

I'd LOVE to hear the engines though!

Amazing find Bertil - and especially odd since the subject of this record just came up on another thread (or maybe even forum). The guy remembered a Russkit ad for the record (which I had no memories of), and since he's a big Ken Miles fan was looking for the record or a copy of the recording - so you may be hearing from him!

I never saw the Risskit release, but I did own, at one time, The Big Sounds of the Road Racers, put out by a reputable label, maybe Columbia. It was a recording of a race at Riverside. The narrator gave short descriptions of what were allegedly various kinds of cars, sports racers, production cars, and Formula One cars, although from the track PA, it was all from the same race, probably the 1959 or 1960 Times Grand Prix. While describing what was the "sound" of Formula One cars, you could hear the PA announce, "And Dan Gurney moves his Ferrari Testarossa into 3rd place!" Oh, well, it would have to do until I could get down to Laguna Seca again.
It's still better than The Go Sound of the Slots.

No, not better than "Go Sounds Of the Slots" . . . tell me it isn't so . . .

Especially "My Little Slot Car" or "Reckless (restless) Rookie" . . .

See ya.
