Note that there is only one race on Saturday, for the Retro Can-Am. We expect to finish racing at a reasonable time on Saturday evening and plan on having a group of racers enjoy a nice dinner together. All participants are welcome to join in.
BPR is expected to be open Wednesday and Thursday. Hours to be posted soon. If there are enough out-of-town racers arriving early in the week, the track "may" be open on Tuesday as well. We shall post the pre-race week track hours later.
More updates to follow.
The 2nd Annual Checkpoint will be another great event with many of the top racers joining in on the fun.
The inaugural race was a lot of fun, but the long Saturday (Retro F1 and Can-Am races) was a marathon. This time, we shall have a more reasonable race schedule on Saturday and more time for pit talk.
I will be posting a roll call later to help us estimate the possible turnout. Due to the economy, we don't expect to draw as many entries as the inaugural race, but who knows? Come on racers, let's see some new podium winners this time!
The above was posted by Keith Tanaka on the D3 forum.
Saturday night, we plan to have a dinner in a local restaurant for all the racers and of course the raceway owner and the sponsors. We need to begin a roll call to prepare so as to know how large of a party we will have. This dinner will probably be sponsored by one of our generous sponsors, names of which will be soon announced.
So please PM either Keith Tanaka or Yours Truly and let us know of your intentions.
Thanks in advance.

We have the pleasure to announce that the first official sponsor of the Second Annual Checkpoint Cup is Callaway Motor Cars, manufacturers of the fine Callaway supercharged Corvette and Camaro based automobiles. Reeves Callaway, president of Callaway Motorcars, may make an appearance on Saturday to watch Retro can-Am qualifying.
