after reading topic 'Retro Can-Am Worlds' (http://slotblog.net/...showtopic=18804) I got excited to built d3/retro Can-Am car. Probably this would be the first retro car in Finland. Unfortunatelly it looks like worlds are now cancelled.
Some questions:
is this in-line Red Fox chassis good for Can-Am:
Because my 'bolts and nuts' hurries I haven't time to built my own chassis. So, I think it is better to buy 'R-T-R' chassis.
And what about Bodies? Good body for flat tracks? And for Kings?
Best Regards

Ray is very correct, that chassis is not legal due to the 'movement in multiple directions'.
Just because it is made, does not make it legal.
On the body front, for Can-Am, it's really a simply choice.
Ti-22
Here is a list of the approved Ti-22 bodies available:
Kirby TI22 - Part GFR100B
TrueScale Kirby TI22 TSR24
TrueScale TI22 Short TSR27
OS 415 Kirby TI22
Ti-22 JK 7081B
Ti-22 MAC V03
Ti-22 Outisight 408
Ti-22 ToyTech TR194
Ti-22 Outisight 408L
Yes, they are very popular here in the States.
I hope this helps.

But as others have said- it's not an "RTR" chassis.

Indeed, I would guess that most racers prefer other than the Ti.
Last time I was down in LA for a D3 event, Tore Anderson and I were chatting about D3s and all sorts of people took it upon theimselves to butt in and tell us that some other body was better!
"A difference of opinion is what makes for a horse race"!
I run a variety of bodies when just playing. And while I have tested various bodies on my chassis and have MY opinion, what I observe having built for others since 64 is that racers differ in their tastes in HOW the car handles. What I like, what Tore likes might not be what YOU like!

I think it is Ferrari 312 of MAC? And it is approved for IRRA and D3 Retro CanAm classes?

Seeing as you have the regulations printed out there, check the year eligibility for CanAm bodies.
To be OK D3 or IRRA, they should be of cars 1969 and earlier.
Of course, it doesn't matter a bit if you are just building a car to the fun of it.
The "MAC-V16 Ferrari 312P" is OK by the D3, but does not appear on the IRRA list.
I thought D3 approved bodies were OK in IRRA, but not the other way around!
Here are the D3 regs, and here is the IRRA approved body list.
Do you have access to JK, or Slick 7 parts over there? They both have good chassis.
You could also contact Rick on here, and I'm sure he would help you out with chassis and or parts.

great thanks again for the fast reply and good information.
I can see my body is exactly same as this one on the right. So, it is MAC Ferrari.
I found from IRRA list:
Ferrari 312 MAC V16
And from D3 list:
MAC-V16 Ferrari 312P
Actually, I wonder why this body is called '312P'? It is very difficult to find similarities between this MAC body and real Ferrari 312P '69. Instead I can find some similarties with Ferrari 612 CanAm '69/'70.
Nice to know this MAC Ferrari is the first "modern" wing body. So, somebody has been abreast here in Finland at early 70's
