Ron,
You need to drastically reduce the size of your pics.

Ron was fast as usual.

I had my doubts about a swoopy king track but it was a lot of fun and a great learning experience. Most of all, it was fun.

I hope Paul Martin finds some good luck by the next race.

Thanks for posting the results, Ron.

I have a 30in monitor and I still could only see half a car. Talk about a God complex :laugh2:

Paul and I both had terrible luck this weekend. The body came off my F1 and I spend 3 heats repairing it. I made it through CanAm OK; however, Paul had numerous problems there. In JF Spec I knocked the wiring off the motor and lost most of a heat, then I had a front wheel come off and that cost most of another heat. In Coupe the motor just started slowing and was about dead at the end. Oh well. Paul had worse luck IMHO as his misfortunes in CanAm took him out of contention for a podium.

Will be ready for the next race in Jan though.

As many of you know, I raced go-karts for many years and I once had a really good comment made to me by a fellow competitor after loosing a national title race with some "bad luck." What he said to me really peeved me off at the time as it allowed him the win, but honestly, he was mostly correct with what he said and it is "a man makes his own luck." Saturday's race was truly no different. My bad luck was uncharacterisitically mostly my own doing. I want to thank Ron Hershman for loaning me a motor that at least put me in the same ball park in Can-Am. I only wish he would have demanded I solder it in. I have to say, both he and Rande raised their eyebrows when I only screwed the motor in but alas, that proved to be my undoing in that race. The other races were my doing also, so I take full responsibility for my "bad luck." I'd like to think I learned some lessons from this race and it won't happen again, but we all know better.

I would like to thank Pappy for running an efficient race and Rick for being a gracious host to our race. For those of you that couldn't attend, you need to make it out to this track. It is really a hoot to race on and really makes for good racing.

The definition of luck is when preparation meets opportunity. I wasn't prepared and my luck was bad. :shok: ;)
