I saw Howie won the Stockcar race. Who won D3 Coupe and Retro Pro?

How could he run the same car in both races when they are totally different rules?

Same frame, different motor and body.

There's enough commonality in the rules that if you build for the Retro Coupe class you can use the frame in the Retro Pro class. Not the other way round, though, as the Retro Pro allows smaller front wheels.

Also, congrats to Jonathan Forsyth, he has driven the wheels off these cars this weekend!!! Really good job driving, Steve, really good job tuning these chassis'es and doing setup. For your first Checkpoint Cup, you all have taken the retro learning curve and thrown it over the hill! GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!

Usually, I like to watch the track. I had the opportunity to watch both the track AND the monitor today. I wound up watching the monitor more than the track. It was an awesome race. It was very close for the whole race and, as has been pointed out, 1st down to 5th was a gap of only 5 laps. Great driving. Man, I would have liked to have seen it in person. Awesome. Gorski flies West and spanks 'em. Bryan hung in there tough but just came up short. And I thought Doug Mathes might be a "sleeper" since he was gonna finish on blue; he did get 3rd as a result of having a strong lane to finish on. What concentration. I can't say it enough.... awesome.

Jonathon Forsyth ran into some BAD luck that cost him a certain 2nd place while running VERY close to John Gorski for the lead late in the Can Am. Congrats John on the win with the same car that you just missed winning by inches with last year!! Great race!!!

All - just want to post a big THANKS to Bryan and PdL for encouraging me to be there as well as providing hardware for me. Bryan - great car and thanks for setting it up for me. PdL - thanks for the loan of the controller. Now, if we could just get the driver skills improved...
