Thank you for the great report...
Looking forward to the remaining reports, as they're written-up and processed...

Man week after week you are blowing our minds away and I love the coverage that you do you are way sano.
Love the way the dinner party change colors, way slick you sure know how to capture the moment.
Thanks Keith and you are so right the best thing of the whole Checkpoint Cup was to see Cukras , I'm so fortunate to have a word with him and I can see
his fighting spirit, have to say Love the man, he is one of the kind.
Thanks to all of the guys at BPR for the great show.
Glad I did not miss this one but I missed some of the legends and you know who you are.
A card deck has 52 cards and some of our Aces where missing.
All I can say is if it weren't for men like Cukras, Mike Steube and Warmack and John Anderson and Howie and lot of other great ones I think the world of slot cars would not make it to 21st century, thanks for your part of the history.

I'm racing the best here at BP but Father time is much better then all of us united.
Not a snob in this hobby, after all it will be gone, if we keep on going like we do, and I have nothing to prove so I keep on posting because I have nothing to gain.
It's our duty to remember the past so we can have a future.

I was at the Los Angeles Slot Car Museum all day and will be posting the Jail Door race report on Phanfare either late tonight or tomorrow.
I will also be working on a Phanfare report on the museum visit. Howie, Terry Schmid, Sano Dave, and myself toured the museum.
It was the first visit ever for Howie and Terry. Dokk and Scott Bader (owner of the museum) gave them a detailed tour of the most interesting cars and items in the collection.
Scott also showed us his 1/1 racing cars and street car collection, awesome. Hope you enjoy some of the photos and video clips I took of the tour which
will be posted on the Phanfare website as soon as I get it done (later this week?).
Stay tuned,
Keith

I hate you, as I am sure Jay does, too.
We were desperate to visit the LASCM but there simply wasn't time (due primarily to them stupid AL fans who came for some silly ball game; we planned to fly out on Wednesday but couldn't get seats due to the masses headed for the BCS final).
Jay was going crazy during the Checkpoint trying to figure out when we could visit the museum. Scott, bless his heart, was willing to take us at midnight but Jay, SCM that he is, really wasn't willing to stay up all night and hurt his racing chances in order to see the museum. It broke his heart to admit that BTW.
We don't really hate you and the others, but we're jealous as all hell. No kidding...

Greg, Jay, it just means you guys have to come out west again some day to see Scott's museum. Maybe the Third Annual Checkpoint or some other big race at BPR?We were desperate to visit the LASCM but there simply wasn't time (due primarily to them stupid AL fans who came for some silly ball game; we planned to fly out on Wednesday but couldn't get seats due to the masses headed for the BCS final).

For those of us who have seen the museum, we are very lucky indeed. For me today's visit was my third and it was good to see the progress Scott has made on the museum construction. Due to the bad economy, Scott has not been able to proceed forward at the same pace as the previous years, but I'm sure he'll have it done when the building/construction industry gets back to normal someday.
So for you Greg and Jay, my museum trip report (when it's posted sometime later this week on the Phanfare website) will be but a small glimpse of what you'll see someday when you visit the museum.
Sorry you guys didn't have time to see the museum, but I'm sure you'll manage to see it when you get another opportunity to come west again.
Just keep blaming those Alabama fans.

One day I hope Scott will have a grand opening and we can have a large get-together. Maybe even a race to celebrate it.
Philippe had a very bad cold and struggled his best to get through the weekend. Hope you're feeling better, P! He has really become a top RetroPro racer. It reminds him of his heyday.
Keep up the great work on the museum project, Scott.

Since Jay burned some of his frequent flyer miles to get us there, I just couldn't do that to him.
But, I admit, I did think about it... LOL!!!

Sure looking forward to see you guys next year, even cheater, but he smokes to much?
Sad to see this event to end but I hope that some new gig will come up to get all of us together again because that's what it is all about, getting together.
Myself yes I'm sad to see this whole thing being part of the past but something will come up again.
