Ok guys, this one is a Phoenix Racecars Lotus 19 V8.
The kit was from Pit Schwaar who - unfortunately - retired a couple of months ago. I took a Chevy V8 from an Accurate Corvette kit, scratched the intakes with some wire end sleeves and added a bit of wire to make it more realistic. I guess there was no Lotus ever running a Chevy motor but I couldn´t resist.

It just came out of a sucessful race when I took the pictures.

This one runs also on a MoMo chassis as my soldering skills are poor. I would love to see one of my builtups run on a Jairus-like jaildoor chassis sometimes.

Jairus, if you see this: whatcha think, could we make a deal somewhen? :icon22:

Enjoy & Best

Martin

Martin, there were. Jerry grant drove one:

Alan Green Chevrolet of Seattle fielded a Lotus 19 using a 377ci Traco-modified Chevrolet and McKee transaxle in 1964. It was driven by Jerry Grant. While fast in the extreme, the car broke frequently. It was said to produce just over 500 horsepower (370 kW) and tested at Westwood Raceway in early 1965 at an unofficial 224 mph (360 km/h) with the aid of some makeshift spoilers.

And your build is very nice. :)

I need to learn a Jedi mind trick to get you to send the car to me. Excellent build! It would be nice to see the chassis too.
