Congrats to Bill Fulmer on his Concours win with the Ford P68 I did for him as pictured above. My "Audi" Chevron above was second. I got beat by me. Love it!

That's pretty nice whipping for a guy that's so busy!
I sent the bodies what, last Wednesday, and we are Saturday? I thing this guy needs a trophy or something... :D
On top of that they look pretty damn good, no? :)

Those are the "real deal" folks.... as Dokk would say, "exacting copies" of the Champion Bloom/Waters Ferrari 612! Better have a short chassis, though. :D

Richard,
They are NOT copies, they are the real deal. Genuine 1967 Champion bodies. I had a stack of them forever, someone gave me some in 1971 and I found them inside an old box in my ratpack junk. And they really work on that King of ours... :)
I am truly racing "vintage" stuff!
As far as needing a short chassis, they cover the standard chassis we have been using with absolutely no issues.

Noose a question about colour? :dash2:

The silverish colour in post 1268... what and how? Parma??

As well as the red pearl kind of nuance in post 1373 or like this done by you?

6-12-09-BCLolaGT.jpg

The Faskolor I tried is a bit to light and a little towards purple. I like the deeper red pearl tone.

Can you help me on this? :help:

The 2 Big Swedes from RP2...remember? :drinks:

Hi guys,

I only use Pactra RC Lacquer paints so the one you showed is Racing Red and if it has a pearly look then it is Candy Red backed with silver and white.

So is it the Spray Cans or the bottle? Which of the plastics used in the bodies can be affected by the solvents in the Pactra Lacquer's?

Also again the silver used in these cars is?

It is the bottle and I only airbrush. Reduce the paint by at least half with their thinner or acetone to get good spraying results. The silver shown in those is Indy Silver by Pactra.

This mix will not melt the lexan bodies?? :bomb:

Testors recommend is:[Mixture Ratio: 9 parts paint to 1 part thinner]

Help me out here Noose with further hints? :paint2:

No Jens it won't melt Lexan bodies unless you spray too much at a time in an area. That might cause some cracking as this is known as a hot spot. It can happen with using the same paint from a spray can too. I thin down the paints in half at least when I want to use a certain color for the fogging effect because I want it as thin as possible to maintain that smooth transition. For colors I plan to use as the main color they are at least thinned a 3rd. Again, light coats prevent problems and with this stuff it dries very quickly after spraying.
