Looks like we have decided on the date for our first official race.
Our big kickoff event will be Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Ron's Raceway in Bristol, TN. Track will open at 7 AM with tech closing at 10 AM. The track is open Tuesday - Friday for practice, and will be open a little extra the night before the race.
Our plans also include three smaller "warm up" races before May, one of which will be at Bristol. These races are to allow local racers who have yet to be exposed to Retro a chance to see how it works and get their cars prepared for the big kickoff race!
Check here for updates and a list of the great racers who plan to attend. The final touches are being put on our format, and will be announced in the next few days. The things we know for sure right now are... This race will include Can-Am and Stock Car, with a third division TBA.

The third division will be Flexi GT. I think this will be the best division for participation.

While I applaud having stockers on the schedule, & flexi GT is a good idea for luring retro novices, don't forget everyone who has labored over those aerodynamicly challenged cigars we call F-1...

LOL! Don't worry macman, during the season we are going to rotate F1 and stock car. We like F1's too! Also, if by chance we had enough in town on Friday night, we could have an F1 race! Hint Hint
