Putting this into one of my old rental houses that's turned into the family storage unit. Will run clockwise, driver's stations along main straight. Layout had two additional infield turns added on the near side after this pic. 5 power taps. Lap length about 35'. Cleaning track, building table, have all wiring supplies. Should be up and running by late spring/early summer as time allows. Can't hardly wait!!

Hi, all. Progress is slow, but it'll happen. Here's the controller hook-ups, swiped the idea from a track I saw that uses bolts, rather then the 1/4" o.d. copper tubing shown here. I like the idea of the recessed posts, hate plugs. Wires solder directly to the flattened tab on the tube. Center post looks a little blue in the shot, is really black.

No new photos yet, but all track sections are cleaned, rail zipped, counter sunk for screws, and all flashing and mold marks on the sides have been sanded smooth. Should be able to start laying it out soon!

Still no new photos to show you, will get another camera that works soon! Most of the track is down, power jumpers in, currently building four custom straight sections (2 1/2" and 7 1/2") to get everything lined up right, my calculations on the layout were a wee bit off. I didn't want to screw with changing the layout (again....), and, making those track sections really is quite easy!

Only able to spend a couple of hours a week on it, but it's getting there! Will most likely have more time and money into it than it's worth, but, some of us do like the pain....

Whoo-Hoo! Dancing with the Stars new season debuts tonight! Not that I watch, but, per agreement with my wife who's hooked on that stuff, whenever one of those Dancing with the Bachelor(ette) Idols who think they have Talent and can Dance type of shows are on, I'm free to head for the shop to play with my toys, be they 1/1 or 1/64th scale. Progress will again be made!!

Wiring is finished!! Should get to power it up tonight for a test, still have to fill and smooth gaps and joints, do the aprons and retaining walls, trackmate, etc. Yeah, I said spring or early summer, just didn't say which spring or early summer........

Whoo-Hooo! Powered up the track last night, ran a pot load of laps with a couple of Life-Like "M" cars from Hobby Lobby. Got a few rough spots to fix. It's small, about like running in the day at Chauncey's in Saginaw (without the grass), not enough room for anything bigger, anyway. Gotta get another camera......

Finally, some new pics to post! Still working out the clicks and clacks. With the toy cars and controllers I have at the moment the track's short, fast, and has a definite rhythm. Should be pretty damn smooth for antique plastic! I'm getting to hate the smell of epoxy.....
