Yep Steve, tough field, lots of really fast guys. It certainly feels like a nats win! The controller arrived ok before I left home. It worked great with the Retro cars.

John, thanks dude!! Wish you could have made it across here.

Having to marshal the 5th heat and watch Ron and Howie trying to run me down was a real nail biter, and it wasn't a certain win until after the 7th heat after Ron pulled an incredible run on purple to get back on track to beat my total.

Thanks to Mike and the team at Tom Thumb. As a kid racing in New Zealand I remember reading about races at this track, so it's pretty amazing to me to be here and add my name to those that have won a big race on this most historic of tracks and raceways.

R-Geo Rick, what can I say mate. Thanks for all your hard work over the last year, and for putting up with the endless annoying phone calls and emails talking about how we improve the cars, and what we can try to get faster. We've come a long way in a year, but don't expect me to let up now! Thanks for the huge effort.

Larry Mattingly, thanks for all your help over the last year, and helping to keep Rick moving forward, and all the body work you do. Having all those ready to go really helps and makes things so much easier.

Josh Crutchfield, thanks for the great build of the R-Geo Samuarai. The car went into tech at 110.0 (just ask Noose) and handles great on the Tom Thumb king.

Howard, The 3rd Eye Guy. The FeTroller prototype arrived just in time, and helped out a huge amount with the coupe car. Having the extra brakes allowed me to gear that little bit taller and pick up some extra straight line speed, while keeping brakes in the car. The smoother power delivery technology of the FeTroller really helped as well, especially on black lane which was like skating on ice for my car.

Just wondering, does the "extra brakes" created by the FeTroller increase the braking ability of the motor to over 100 percent of the track's power supply?

Brakes do not work off the power supply. The only legal way to improve brakes is to make a better short across the motors two polls and there is a point where the short is good enough and making it any better does not help. Dan

Mike, here is the link to the .pdf file with the results for heat 4. The one you posted has the ftp info attached, so you should either delete or edit it.

Time for some new floppy disks! it doesn't take much corruption to cause problems in the text files SRT leaves behind. Glad to see you making use of my program. If I ever get motivated enough and we can install dos network drivers on the race computer and get it online we could probably do something closer to live, or at least at the end of the race.

I am confused Chris. Your link is identical to mine. And I indicated that it was a link to a PDF. So what was your point? And it wasn't a floppy disk error. It was a HD error. Three different floppies as well as a flash drive all with the same results.
