If you didn't make the SERRA race this weekend you missed an AWESOME day of racing! The turn-out was a little low because of work and family matters but the racers who were there showed what Retro racing is about: A LOT OF FUN AND GOOD TIMES!

Mike Arnold, Freda, and I want to thank ALL the racers that came out and raced here at Central TN Raceway for our first (but not our last!) Retro race since we opened the raceway.

Thanks again to everyone, especially Greg Wells and Jay Guard, for a GREAT time.

Hey, finally getting to meet Gil was just about the highlight of the 730-mile round trip for me. (He and Jay were already acquaintances from Jay's time on the left coast.) He's clearly a hell of a racer.

Gil got married (for the first time!) about a year ago and the couple lives in Antioch, TN, about four miles from Central TN Raceway. Co-incidentally, Antioch is where my paternal grandmother was born and raised.

Gil said he likes the traffic in the Nashville area... imagine that! LOL!!

I had a blast! The track was great, the competition was great and we once again experienced what Retro racing is all about... fun! I hope that we have this same feeling after our first Retro race in the Smoky Mtn Retro Association race in Bristol. Thanks to Rick and Freda for once again being great hosts.

The highlight of my weekend... I passed Jay Guard under green! Posted Image

Lowlight... He passed me like 27 times! How does he get through those corners so fast? Posted Image

Gil is a expert on traffic coming from SoCal! I met and got to know Gil about 1983-4 racing out here at Wild Willie's raceway and later in SoCal USRA through my Front Line years.

Tell him Annette and I say congrats! We are on our 25th year!

I finally was able to add the pics to the SERRA #22 coverage. Still need to go back and add them to a couple of previous race reports, too. Sure seems like there are fewer hours in a day than there used to be...
