I love that card you have in that photo. I have been wanting to download it and blow it up for the wall down there.

Rich,

I will do this the next time I go to the museum. I was there yesterday but did not see your post in time, sorry!

Hi PdL

Have you been to the museum? I sure would love a download of that card from The Groove.

Is that clear La Cuc going to the museum?

Thanks,

Rich

Rich,

PdL is at the Pebble Beach Concours through the weekend. He's displaying the 1961 Cooper T54 Indy car there.

He may not see your post until he returns home.

Hi Keith

Thanks for the info I went to SoCal Slotcar Racing and found the pictures but I could not get it to reprint in a larger size. I would like to blow up the card and frame it for the wall. Could you e-mail that shot to me?

Thanks,

Rich

Michigan Retro racers, you missed a good time at the Groove!

I would like to thank Rich for hosting a race at his 1/2 King home track. A good time was had by all who attended. The track is 70+ feet of challenges that test even the most talented driver. It's the kind of track that will make you a better driver. The Retro Flexi cars gave the GT1 cars everything they could handle. The Retro Can-Am cars ran well also.

Rich, Bob Foster, and Big Mike were contenders for the win in both classes. Rich and Bob hot-lapped my 4 inch USRA NASCAR at near track record times.

Rich provided a nice lunch between races. I gave a quick seminar on squeezed S-can motors (if you always wanted to know more about parking lot motors, you should have been there) more on this later in the Michigan Retro Racing Thread.

After the races Big Mike, Mark TBG Racing, and myself stopped to visit Spove. He lives just a short distance from Rich. It was great to see him recovering at home and up and around a bit.

Oh yeah, thanks to Mark TBG racing for keeping the cars on the track.

Thanks again, Rich. Anytime you want to have another race count us in!

Regards,

Greg VanPeenen

THE GROOVE will be hosting a MRRA warm-up race on Sunday, August 28. This should be a blast!

I was also thinking of having a race in July 3rd? 10th? or 17th? What do you guys think? Let me know. What date works best for most people will be the one I pick. Could also do Saturday if we want 2nd, 9th, or 16th.
