Race #1 of the new Smoky Mtn Retro Association is in the books. We had a little bit of a light turnout, with about 8 people having to cancel at the last minute due to family obligations and illness. Nevertheless, we had some great racing! I would to send out a big thanks to Ralph Thorne, Joe McIntosh, and James Merriman who made the trip all the way from Georgia. Racers loved the hillclimb. It was very smooth and with one off camber corner, it was very challenging. All in all, I was happy with this weekends race, and I am looking forward to our next event!

If you did not make it to the first SMRA race @ Ron's in Bristol you missed some good racing and great racing "fun". Like Roger said the turnout was a little short of what we expected but that is the norm. There is always some things that happen that you don't have any control over. THANKS again to ALL the sponsors, we REALLY appreciate your donations. Thanks again for all the racers that were able to make it. Make plans to attend the second SMRA race in June which will be announced VERY soon!!
