I've always felt that using those over the .007" thick bodies was a smarter move, as they at least last an entire 24-minute race!
Plus.... The Betta bodies come w/ an interior, so it's truly a win-win situation...
Thanks, Barn... Looking forward to running 1/32nd D3 cars on the Kingleman & the Chico flat-track...
Now to build-up my Warmack kit! LOL!

I still do not know what the duty costs wil be as our customs has never got back to my emails and phone messages....?? The bodies were sent last week and I hope to see them late this week or next week. I will have some extras of the more popular bodies. I already have about 40 on the next order list so if any of you missed out check the website and get back to me with what you need in 1/32 or 1/24 scale. I will have some to show Paul to see if we can get more legal for our classes in D3 and I hope IRRA as well.
Stay tuned...

I have many 1/32 F1 and Indy bodies left from the first order so watch for a sale on some of these! I ordered too many and most people want GT's and CanAm open sports car bodies, so some open wheel F1 and Indy styles will be on sale soon!
Hey any of you want 1/24th bodies be aware they are for the most part sized for full size chassis not Retro cars. I will order them as well for you.
You can PayPal me or use a USPS Postal Money order for payment. PM me and I'll give you my email as its faster to service then PM's.

"Now I'd like to ask some questions . . . . .Since you obviously have a head start on us in the 1/32 scratchbuilt arena, can you share specs with us? Width, front tire, rear tire diameters and such? It would be certainly appreciated. What motors are you running."
Most chassis for Betta bodies are based on a old system used in England. Wheelbase is listed in feet and inches. I wish the bodies were listed as to width as well but here is what I have seen so far. The bodies so far are in 2 1/4" and 2 1/2" wide.
(Dennis if this is not right please correct me)
1968 McLaren M8A is small and narrow body listed wheelbase is 7' 10" so if my math is correct then you take the feet and inches and convert into all inches then divide by 32 to get the wheelbase. Example: 7' = 84" and add the 10" = 94" divide by 32 and it is 2.937" and about a 2 1/4" width body.
Now a big long body.
1973 UOP Shadow DN2 is listed as 8' 7" so it's wheelbase is 3.218" long and it is a max width of 2.5"
On Dennis's home track we have been going up in motors on The Stone of late as we are getting more rubber down on the track and with the bite up that has allowed us to use the TSRF Homeset and Fal 2 , S7 MiniBrute motors in our D3/ IRRA style scratch builds. Also the Pro Slot Euro motors like the PS-4000/ 4001 work on Dennis's track and on the BPR track you may use more motor but I have not tried it yet. We are keeping the chassis designs more to D3/ IRRA brass and wire style cars for the most part but some have steel chassis that work great such as Dennis and Larry Shepard's customs.
True EURO type steel chassis could use more motor even on the small home tracks but would be better on big raceway tracks such as the Flatster at BPR. With that said on the BPR tracks maybe someone will get more motor to work but for now that's all most have used.
As far as tire diameters I have built chassis with .750" tires to .800" rears and on The Stone .600 wide but at BPR with the spray glue we narrow them up or the cars get tipsy. We have been using my "Love Lotion" on the foams and have got them hooked up on Dennis's track with no glue. front tire dia. is limited to the body you use as some have very small front wheel wells. We use foams, silly coated foams, urethane and silicone tires on Dennis track with good results with all.
I hope this helps if you have any questions please get hold of me and I'll ask Dennis as he has the experience and I'm just learning these little cars.

I made a small order of a couple of 60's F1 bodies for the VRAA race.
I was impressed with the service and delivery time that Charlie Fitzpatrick put into my trade.
Working with the fibreglass bodies in interesting too...kinda like a more brittle resin body.
They do have great detail though.

Prior to, I think, 68, the bodies are scale. The ECRA rules of the time required scale AND that the car be within the last 3 seasons of racing. This part means Charlie Fitzpatric has the largest selection imaginable!
Anyway, ECRA was upset that people were regularly only running the widest of the bodies. So, they changed the rules to a uniform 2.5" maximum. This means that the bodies of the era 66 on are USUALLY 2.5. The ones that aren't are hold overs from the sale days. Some have a little tuck under that means they can be done more narrow.
I have told Charlie over the years that I admire his skills in his ability to sculpt these cars to a uniform width and STILL make them LOOK scale.
