lucky guy.
First thing that greets you in the door is this, which is a good thing for me, due to my bad habits and for us thinking of cats safty.
Love the pit area, clean, organized and pleasant surroundings. Some pics when the guys from BP arrive as guests tfor our generous host Dennis; thanks for taking us in.
First we have "He will buy it ALL" - hell of nice guy.
Team CORT Judge arrives.
And the rest is the "Wild Bunch"
But back to the main event, the important stuff. And you will agree.
I felt bad Dennis and his sweet wife had all the good stuff going around us. And the sure took care of us.
Thanks for having us, maybe its our turn to bring the healty stuff and take care of you and your wife next time?
Back to the cars we ran, Larry Shepard cars were way sweet and easy to run; thanks Larry. Not to forget Dennis had some cars from
his friend who lives in Australia way; good cars and I sure enjoyed running them.
That little F1 build by Warmack was such a sweet car to run, and the cars up front was Larry's cars and the Post-It car way up front
was mine. I guess it was time to race no race report from me because you know where I finish?
The Judge is making sure that we all are smiling?
Kidding around but it was a great day in Irvine and, Dennis, thanks for all your efforts, I sure appreciated it and looking forward for a reunion in the future.
Nesta
I will call you later Barney and thanks for the rocket that you built me. The 48 ride is mine.

I'm racing the best here at BP but Father time is much better then all of us united.
Not a snob in this hobby, after all it will be gone, if we keep on going like we do, and I have nothing to prove so I keep on posting because I have nothing to gain.
It's our duty to remember the past so we can have a future.

Happy fathers day! I'm off to BPR for some testing today.
We had some great cars from Larry Shepherd (spell?) and all loved the hard body Capri he sent. Sorry I forgot to get pics of the chassis on that one so maybe Dennis or Bryan can post them.
IROC car race with some cars a friend sent for us to play with.
I'Rockers ready to start!
Craig had the "fanger" today from race 1
More Craig winning!
Dennis gets by Craig for a win on the home turf on sections!
My "Condo Box" is nice but TOO big so if anyone wants it out here in BPR neck of the woods can PM me about it.

Thanks to Nesta and Barney for the photos and the results, and a special thanks to Larry Shephard for sending down six cars to Bryan for us to play with. They all ran well, and we had a good IROC-style race using three of them. I will post some detailed photos and driving impressions when I get a chance.
Tentatively, the next Pebblestone Open day will be July 31, unless there is some big 5th weekend event going on at BPR that I have forgotten about.

I believe foams and silly coated foams will be the norm before to long on all the cars.... plastic too. Bryan's silly coated RTV worked very good and Dennis told me tonight he made some RTV silly foams up last night.
I made some out of silly medical adhesive 2 races ago for my Jail Door but the RTV is better and I got some today to make some more. I hope to go to Dull Mar Fair this Sunday to play with Bob and the mini King of Eddies. The Stone is rock'in and I can't wait till I can start on my track in the late summer or fall!
Oh my builds on our IROC F1 March 761's got started today! After that I have a Betta Tyrell 6 wheel to do in 1/32!

PROC cars ROCK!
I'm building 4 of these. I talked to Dennis and I will build the 3 March F1 chassis and paint the bods Red, White and Blue (white one will go on yellow lane) I tricked Dennis in to doing the detail and decals on the 3 so they will look great. I love these old "Hammer Head" March 761's and after talking to Dennis plan to build them all just a little different like 1 in .063 single rail, 1 in a double .047 rails (that's what I'm building now for me) and not sure what yet the 3rd one will be.
What works great with PROC races on The Stone is to put the fastest car on the slowest lane, the slowest car on the fastest lane and the leftover on the last lane. Here is another shot of the 761 Hammer Head March.

I'm about ready to show the first one I built as doing the pans is the hard part. I'm using Craig's Jet Car rear end bracket just to get more weight in the car. (It's the drawing that Craig let me use for my Super Body Mount Plate card stock, see below) I made it in .063". I have the patterns done for the pans and already cut some in .040" brass but may make a set of .063" pans just to get more weight in the car later after I try the .040" pans first.
The tire scale I think I'm set on is .800" rears as wide as I can get them in the body and .650- .675" fronts about .400" wide and they should look right. These bodies will make great looking cars and with just a motor change from the little puny motor to a TSRF home set will make the cars into another class if we want.
The Jet chassis was built about 1 1/2 years and ago and works very well for flat track racing and Nesta now owns it. The back bracket puts more weight in the tire area and also makes a gear guard so with the F1 needing more weight it was perfect for this build.

It's been fun as this is just the 3rd 1/32 chassis I have built and 1/32 F1's have little things ya got to watch for and no room!. This Hammer Head 761 March has little shocks molded in the back tire area that I did not really think would be a problem but the tires will hit there if you do not get it right. I have to make up a set of rear tires for it but these I just stuck on for now. This chassis is a single plumber, double .047" main rails, with a .063 drop arm and a home made guide holder. It feels good so I hope it runs well at BPR tomorrow.
I will make the wheel base a little shorter from the 3 1/4" I did for this one when I build the 3 PROC cars .... maybe 3 1/8" just so I have a little more room.
Again thanks to Bryan W. for the motor bracket! I now have to build 2 GT cars for Bryan and Dokk.

The first ones will be the two Momo Audi bodied cars, the one was to fit a Chassis kit I got some years ago from Slick Seven racing. I had to assemble and it was quite an involved chassis. It run very well and at the convention in Phoenix in 2005 it was on their Kling as fast as some of my 1/24th scratch built's. It was sent as an alternative to plain brass scratch built's.
The other Audi Momo bodied cars was a scratch built one I built as a how to do it project for some guys who asked how do I build such cars. So there were three guys around the country one in Canada, one in Ohio and another in PA. I said that I would build a new car for them to try out. I then also sent that True Scale Audi R8 with the printed circuit board chassis as another version type chassis. I sent them off to the first guy and he tested them and saw how it was done. Then he sent them on the the next guy in line to test and then he sent them on to the third guy and then he sent them back to me. So they got a work out and what you see is what I got back. They enjoyed the experience and have built other scratch built cars since.
Then there was the American Eagle racing Toyota body it was one of two different cars that were built for another Proxy race in Washington State. They got screwed up by the post office and arrived two weeks too late to run the race. The race owner said he tested them and said they were good on his track.
The March 83G was built for another race that was called off before it happened so I just finished it up as the Red lobster car.
The Jagermeister Capri was built for another Proxy race. It was finished was sent with another Capri livery car to LA for a race, then to Tasmania for two races then on to the UK for two races there. The Jagermeister was the anglewinder rear engine version and the other one was a very similar chassis except that it was a front motor, inline version. The Anglewinder version was a bit faster on the track mainly because there was a bit too much windup of the rear axle, that slowed it a bit on some tracks that were tighter.
All were fun to build and run I hope you enjoyed them They will remain with Dennis for a while to allow more testing or what ever.
Have fun.

I took some photos of the cars top and bottom, I will post them this weekend.
I will take the cars with me to BPR tomorrow for others to take a look-see or to try them out on the tracks there.
I had to re-set the gear mesh on the March as it was starting to strip the gear, but it was just a matter of moving some fo the spacers around, and it's all working fine again.
The silicone-foam tires work very nicely on my track, so much so that we are all now experimenting with the technique. For those who want to try, Larry wrote up a "how-to" article on OWH a while back.

The silicone coated foam tires work well on a track not real dusty. They do last a long time if coated well. I have some over 20 years old. I got tired of replacing foam tires all the time. When and if I get my1/32nd track built here, those tires will be all I use on it. Others can work well with them but for my own use, I do not want to replace foam tires all the time. I started making these back in the late 1960's. I could not make enough for all racers, so they stayed with the foam tires. Later in the 1980's I started making them again for my own use locally on my 1/32nd stuff.

I will bring the 1/32 cars I built to BPR tomorrow for people to play with. The new Hammer Head 761 March worked great and all the cars with no tire tuning ran 5.30's on the flat track on blue and with a little tuning with tire width will run 5.20's or better on blue. Purple or black get our best times so I think these with a little tuning will be right around 5.0's- 5.10's on black lane.

That one where he has lots of articles on there for all kinds of stuff.
A while back, my computer took a dump and I lost the bookmarks for it and other places. I have the article buried here some where I just have to go digging for it.
