SMRA has teamed up with SERRA for a combo race on the "Black Snake" at Central Tenn Raceway in LaVergne, TN. It is a great and very fast 160' Engleman.
The race will be Sept 18, 2010. The track will open at 7 AM Central time.
Divisions will include Can-Am, F1, and Stock Car.

So what about the motor rules. Nothing has been said on the blog, but my guess is that the Pro Slot motor will be legal. Any truth to that?

brnursebmt: We are combining the two series for this event, so both series have made concessions. We will run the IRRA™ rules for motors, but we will also utilize the red flag rule since SERRA racers are accustomed to this.

Central TN Raceway will open Friday Sept. 17th @ 6:00 pm for anyone wanting to practice for the SMRA / SERRA Retro race this Saturday 9/18/10. Hope all you racers around here are planning on being here this Saturday. We also will open Saturday @ 7:00 am for some practice before the races start. Call me 615-556-9167 if you have any questions or need directions. Plenty of motels close to the track. For this weekend we will be able to take debit & credit cards thanks to Roger Holtsclaw. He is bringing his PC along with his software that he uses @ his track in EAst TN. Thanks to you Roger ! See you racers soon.

Mike, Freda & I would like to say thanks to all the racers who showed up @ Central TN Raceway yesterday to race in the SMRA / SERRA combo Retro event. We had a GREAT day of racing and I think all the racers had a good time. There were 4 states represented, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia & South Carolina. Thanks again to everyone, we can't wait until the next scheduled SMRA or SERRA event. Roger will post the results later.
