Expected to be re-issued sometime in the end of September 2010 is Tamiya's 1/18 Scale static kit of the McLaren M8A-Chevrolet.




I have never been able to get my hands on one of these kits so I cannot comment on its "value" to builders.

Perhaps if this kit sells well, Tamiya might just bring back some of the other "Can Am" kits in this series? (4 total IIRC + a Porsche endurance racer)




I would expect these kits to be somewhat simplified- but the good news is that usually shortly following the re-issue of a kit the garage producers of photo etch, decal, etc. offer wonderful "detail up" items to allow a more satisfying build.
