Sweet car, Niels! I believe Dan drove that car to the ONLY Can-Am victory for Ford, at Bridgehampton in 1966.

Wow - Nice build as usual Niels! Wish I could be there to watch the race!

May I ask you please, how did you create the "Gurney-Westlake" lettering for the side of the car?

Thank you.

The markings are from a Fred Cady decal sheet. I had to paint the white stripes as the decals were so thin that they simply folded when trying to apply them inside the body :-(

Hi Niels,

I had to paint the white stripes as the decals were so thin that they simply folded when trying to apply them inside the body

I'm sure that's a frustrating experience! Really nice work Niels - thank you for your reply!

It's interesting how your T70 looks blue in one of those photos. There's a photo around of thee Aston Martin powered T70 in '67 (I think) at Le Mans where it appears blue but was in fact dark green.

Cheers

Yeah the blue tint comes from the flash feature on my mac book pro photo booth app
I love my mac and have learned to cover the screen to block the unwanted light
