Hello slot racing friends,
JPvR has asked me to inform you that, with the results of a medical check-up
yesterday morning in mind, he will not be able to continue his slot racing
activities. The IMCA website will no longer be updated.
The EEC Pro race at the end of this month will be organized as planned by
Slotracing24 and Slotracing Merlijn. An temporary page with most of the info
regarding this race will be online in the next couple of hours at the EEC
website: http://www.eecmodelracing.eu. For any other specific info regarding
this race, please contact me by email.
The money incentives that were agreed up onto for this race between a few
racers and JP, will be paid upon arrival. I would appreciate if the
concerned racers could contact me on this by email ASAP.
As for the 2011 IMCA worlds, the whole concept will have to be re-evaluated.
If it will be organized, we will most probably maintain the DTM concept, but
it is already obvious that there won't be any budget for any incentives like
in the past....
Sure hope to see you at the EEC Pro race.
Very best regards,
Raymond

It's a big shame that JP is very ill. He is the only guy that has managde to get money for guys coming from other countries to race. All the times I have raced at IMCA I have had a great time (even racing against you, Ron, in 2001).
I hope JP can get well again.

Get well, JP. There are slot racers everywhere that are wishing you a recovery back to health and to beat whatever you must. Then you can continue your journey that includes slot car racing.
Thank you for making my life better by opening new avenues and leading to countless new friendships around the world. I am hoping that we can race together again soon.

I saw that a few days ago when trying to access the site and it said that due to health issues all 2011 races were cancelled. JP is a winner so we hope he beats whatever this is. Get better!!!

We all wish JP a prompt recovery. It is not fun to get older and run into major health issues that weaken both the body and the spirit.

Anybody know if the IMCA website is archived anywhere? I am looking for reports of JPvR's WC races in 2000-2001?
