After seven operations (most to clear up a pesky infection from the first surgery) and three weeks in the hospital, he was excited to be back there.
He sounded great, his long term outlook looks real good and he promised he would be back to the raceway fairly soon to get some of the special verbal abuse that only I can dish out.
He wanted to thank everyone who called, visited, and of course signed the get-well card at his namesake race.

I'm racing the best here at BP but Father time is much better then all of us united.
Not a snob in this hobby, after all it will be gone, if we keep on going like we do, and I have nothing to prove so I keep on posting because I have nothing to gain.
It's our duty to remember the past so we can have a future.

Get well, Dave
Do you think he was racing up the hallways at the hospital in a wheelchair?

1 I really hate hospitals(with the exception of beautiful nurses)
2 I really miss retro racing with you guys
Just got some recovering to do, then its off to chemo & radiation treatments per my doc.
Got to get back to slot racing. Wouldn't like to ever miss a big retro race again.
Thanks again so much for all the phone calls during the sano4 and all well wishes all along. You just don't know how much I appreciate it.
And a very special thanks to my best buddy Howie, for pushing me to see the doctor in the first place.
Thanks guys
