Guys have been asking all the time about how Sano Dave is doing. He called a few minutes ago. Before I answered the phone, I was thrilled to see the call was coming from his home.

After seven operations (most to clear up a pesky infection from the first surgery) and three weeks in the hospital, he was excited to be back there.

He sounded great, his long term outlook looks real good and he promised he would be back to the raceway fairly soon to get some of the special verbal abuse that only I can dish out. :)

He wanted to thank everyone who called, visited, and of course signed the get-well card at his namesake race.

Good to hear our friend is doing better.

Get well, Dave

Dave, we want you health to be excellent. A trip to the West Coast in January might be fun and might get you away from that winter weather, It might also endanger your health to hang out with your West Coast friends till all hours. Standing for all those races will also be a strain. Consider the health risks carefully.

Also remember WE NEED ANOTHER GOOD "A" MAIN DRIVER LIKE WE NEED A HOLE IN OUR HEAD!!!Posted ImagePosted Image

Guys, thanks so much for all the well wishes! I found out two new things about my self.
1 I really hate hospitals(with the exception of beautiful nurses)
2 I really miss retro racing with you guys
Just got some recovering to do, then its off to chemo & radiation treatments per my doc.
Got to get back to slot racing. Wouldn't like to ever miss a big retro race again.
Thanks again so much for all the phone calls during the sano4 and all well wishes all along. You just don't know how much I appreciate it.
And a very special thanks to my best buddy Howie, for pushing me to see the doctor in the first place.
Thanks guys
