With Practice complete, we were ready to go at 10:15 am with the GT C Amateur event. 16 Amateurs signed in for the event. Two 8 man A mains would be run with races combined for total laps. When it was all over, it was a clean sweep of the the podium for the ILes bunch. Mike, Max, and Mikey...........1-2-3. Mike also set a new M-D Retro lap total for the GT C amateur event with 245 laps. He also set a new race record with a 5.4922. Bill Sutton had a great run in fourth followed by Doug Murphey in 5th. Mason Dixon regulars Robert Rodgers finished 6th, with Gary Culy in 7th. Newcomer Mike Mankin finished 8th . Mikes car was a Samson chassis geared 9-29 equipped with JK rear tires. Congats to Mike, Max, and Mikey on the family podium finish. In the podium photo, Mikey is on the left and Max on the right ( I think ).
