With the GTC Pro race complete, it was time for the main event of the day. The ever popular Can Am cars took to the big Engleman for some final hot laps. Would the track record of 5.1484 set by John Gorski fall. A record (for M-D Retro) 19 drivers signed in to qualify. With the FALL BRAWL scheduled next week, a lot of drivers were using this as a warm up for the big event next weekend. They came close, but 5.1484 proved to be too fast again.

Gorski. Gerhart, Kisling, Kohr, Mike Iles, and Granger would go to the A main.
M. Bruce, Duran, Pikunis, Mikey ILes, Max Iles, and Bruce Baughman would go to the B. (way to go Bruce B, nice effort)
The rest of the field prepared for the C main, two would advance.
Noose and Jersey John got out front early followed by Robert Rodgers and Gary Culy. By heat 3, Noose had a 2 lap lead, with Robert, JJ, and Gary following. Doug Murphey fell out with a loose motor. By heat 6, It was all Noose as Robert pulled with trouble and Jersey John faded in white and red. Gary Culy now moved into 2nd looking to advance to the B. It was Noose winning with Gary Culy 2nd, followed by Larry Cyr in his first race at Speedzone. Jersey John was 4th with Dean Willis 5th. Robert Rodgers and Doug Murphey rounded out the field. Noose and Gary Culy would advance to the B main.

The B main was up next. Mikey ILes and Matt Bruce shot into the lead. They battled for most of the event, Ray Duran made his presence known as he closed in by heat 7. He would battle with Matt Bruce for the final move up position. At the finish it was young MIkey Iles winning with Matt Bruce in 2nd. Ray Duran just missed advancing as he finished 3rd. Wes P. was 4th and Gary Culy 5th. Max Iles, Bruce Baughman and Noose, who had car trouble early, rounded out the field. Mikey Iles and Matt Bruce would advance to the A main.

The A main was up next, after lane selections and a brief warm up, we were ready for the main event. Jay Kisling and Randy Kohr shot to the front. By heat 4 Randy and Jay were swapping the lead back and forth, John Gorski and Matt Bruce followed. At the finish it was Jay Kisling by a lap and half over Randy Kohr. John Gorski finished 3rd with Matt Bruce 4th. Bill Gerhart got by Dale Granger in the last heat for 5th. Dale was 6th with GTC Am & GTC Pro winner Mike Iles 7th. Mikey Iles rounded out the field. Congrats To Jay, Randy, and John on their podium finish. Jay's car was a TonyP chassis, geared 8-29, with Alpha tires on the rear.

Wow what a day it was great to have so many people in the raceway that were so competitive and to get my second retro can am win was just icing on the cake Jay
