Amigos,

With much regret I will not be attending this weekend's OCC racing event due to a Family Wedding of my nephew.
I will see everyone next month OCC event. This is a tough decision since I'm 2nd in points in GT1B. But you gotta take one for the team once in a while!

My daughter was coming over on Sat. and that was going to prevent me from attending. BUT.. She has changed her plans so it looks like I'll get to come run my first OCC race.
Kit, I hope your track has strong walls!

Hello Frank, Thank you for the welcome!

I'll be running Group10, I don't have any cars set up for 1/8" axles. Since getting back into the hobby this year I've made a couple of races at J&B with another race there tomorrow night plus about three practice days. I've got the straights down, it's the corners I'm struggling with now. :D

My goal is that when you hold the finishing order upside down at the end of the day, my name isn't on top.

Thanks again for the welcome,
Frankie

Well u have 3 days to set up with 1/8 inch stuff.. Gt1 is a really fun race because if u don't fall out it keeps the racing real close and exciting

You know you guys are okay.. I recieved a couple notes offering cars for me to use. I'll take someone up on the offer, I could always use more track time that's for darn sure. And if you guys want something fun to watch, just stand there and watch me solder in a motor and try to get gear lash. The good news is that Kit is feeding everyone so you guys can eat while I solder in a motor.

Many thanks again guys!!

I looked it up and Brain Cox ran 5.05 for Best Lap Time in Flexi GT at the Retro Race last December at your track.
Just wanted to compare the difference in speed.
Roughly .3 or .4 Sec faster with the Falcon and open gearing.
That`s a pretty significant difference for a motor that doesn`t cost as much as the Deathstar.

I haven`t read any complaints about the Flexi GT Cars being too fast for beginners.

Frank- Wouldn`t you like to sell 20 Falcon Motors every time you host an OCC Race?

Willy- It`s racing and if you can go faster without spending more money, then HELL YES, FASTER IS BETTER!
Besides being faster, the cars handle better and are easier to drive with the little Falcon vs. the heavy 16D.

I'm not for it or against it what ur talking about....... What make me wonder is we have a guy complainin about some thing he hasn't even raced b4 in OUR series that I know of...... So why r they gonna change something for a guy who don't even attend the events........ I thought cheater locked the last thread becasue this same argument...... Just my 2 cents
