Decided to take a short break form the modern LMP and GT racers and play a bit with a more fun kind of car.

For a NASCAR race this December, I decided to build a new racer, and as reigning Race and Concours champ and knowing that the competition this time will be better prepared that last year, I must build a looker that is also a top performer... not an easy mix!

The 1:1 car, the Charger is not made in plastic by Revell, and only Revell kits are allowed... so I'll have to make my own Charger and also cook up the needed decals...

Wow, Fola, you don't choose the easy paint jobs to replicate, do you? Fabulous work!

By the way, London doesn't mean no slot car racing you know - there's a great club in North London, for Eurosport and Flexi-car type racing as well as Retro.

Hope you are ok, considering the circumstances.

The EEC race was bad and good and bad and good,
I was a real shame that some of the Belgian Teams chose not to take part,
I still do not know why that really had to happen….
The location was fun as always but was in real need of some cleaning up.
Qualification was a disaster because the track was too dirty, and the "Slower"
Group had real problems keeping the cars under control because all lanes
except the qualification lane were terribly dusty/dirty. The racing was tough, fast
and also fair the direction was not at all times on top of the situaions at hand……

but hey… at the end of the day we met fine people had fun!
I am happy with my 4th Position, next time I will get the Tires changed QUICKER!

Congrats to the winners!!!

The car performed well, no damage was sustained so I decided NOT to build a new
one for the next race in Düsseldorf, but to re decal the eec #40 car….
here is what I did …

Beautiful work, Fola. The great thing about hardbody racing... especially NASCAR... is that after a few shunts, you will probably have some realistic scrapes and cuts in the paintwork, right?
