We arrived at DT Hobbies about 8 am. The hillclimb was clean, prepared and ready to go. After a couple hours of practice, we were ready to go with the first event. A light field of 5 GTC Amateurs signed in for the event. After lane choices, we were all set for the M-D Retro Amateur event.

Tom Adams got out front early and looked pretty strong. Robert Rodgers and Ron Pearson trailed. By heat 4, Robert Rodgers had taken over the lead. He continues to build his lead and won the event with a 4 lap victory. Tom Adams had a great run for second followed by Ron Pearson in third. Bobby Jones competed in his first M-D Retro event by finishing 4th. Gary Culy broke a flag in the last heat and finished 5th. Congrats to Robert on his second M-D Retro win of the season. He drove a Rodgers chassis, geared 9-27 equipped with Alpha Piranha tires.
