At last I had a reason to finish my Howmet TX body (made by Howmet TX AKA John Dillworth) as the Kolding club in Denmark is hosting a two-hour Christmas team race on Dec. 16 (my birthday) with White Point chassis and bodies of your own choice

The silver top is Bare Metal Foil - a bit old and not so sticky anymore :-( but good-looking anyhow. John supplied a detailed interior with turbine motor copied from my old Howmet plastic kit, but the driver insert was too deep for the inline WP chassis, so I added one of my homemade Can-Am interiors.

Decals are homemade and printed on a Canon inkjet.

Thanks to John. :D

Love the gorgeous model, love the full interior, and thank God for John Dilworth.

I always thought the turbine cars were cool!

Nice job on the Howmet!

Jim:

Talk to the Noose-miester. That's where he gets the Lotus F1 bodies.

Jim,

Check your PMs.

Niels... instead of Bare Metal Foil, next time try Alclad Chrome. It's great stuff! Looks like real chrome.

I would use Alcad aluminum - not chrome - since that is what it is....car was at Road America Historics a few years ago in the McKee tent.....

You may be right Larry... I never got to see the TX in person, only in the magazines. I think I read it was to keep the heat down in the the cockpit.

The Alclad paints are neat stuff!
