First off, none of this buld would be possible if it weren't for the help of Pablo, Horsepower, and my friend Bill Worden, who is using his machinist skills to make some parts for the build.
Here are some of the parts.
More to follow...

You don't want speed but laps and easy to drive. From experience, a solid 26D wind is an excellent choice in the beginning, so do what is needed to make the motor bulletproof!
Edit: However, if you really want a "rewind"... try this!

It's called a "proxy" race, not a "Let's the car dialed in on one of the tracks that it'll run on" race.We can test before the Proxy at the Field house and Swiss's.

But, it takes testing to make sure the car can turn laps without heating up, burning out, or eating gears.

If we're running the Proxy race on the King, I'll let him try it on the flat track.

No, it's going to be my usual race colors of copper with a candy red stripe with black lace. I'm thinking of having a candy red or yellow windshield?Hey, Rob, you going to go and try to match this?

Nice arm and Arco mags are also available but has anyone seen bulletproof 26D endbells?Edit: However, if you really want a "rewind"... try this!
I haven't.

There was a Simco/Associated endbell for the 26D that was heat resistant and used Pittman overhead brushes, but it didn't really work. Back then what we did was use the Pittman 6001BB endbell. That thing was unkillable, but NOS cost more than the 26D we used it on!

Hi John,Me, too! I may run a Pittman 6001X ball bearing motor!!!
I'm currently working on my entry which is also a BB Pittcan. As you know, they have an .093" shaft.
I was worried about the pinion gears available, seems like a 9 tooth is about the smallest practical gear and I could only find them in brass. I wouldn't trust a brass gear to last the whole series.
My solution was to totally readjust my Hudy comm lathe and turn the shaft down to .0785". Now I can use my favorite inline pinion, an angled ARP 8 tooth, to get a low enough gear ratio for the European tracks. I figure on using an 8/30 or 8/31 gearset.
Food for thought! This may also be helpful for anyone using a big ol' 36D.
Here's a shot of the motor with the gear slid on before soldering.

Well, since we have all sorts of thread drift I thought I'd post pictures of the F1 I built while waiting on my parts. I just am showing pictures of the finished product since it's a duplicate of the one that I made for the Sano Dave raffle. If someone wants to see the build, go HERE.It's called a "proxy" race, not a "Let's the car dialed in on one of the tracks that it'll run on" race.
Since Swiss won't let me test my Dynamic Proxy entry on his King (or ONE as it's called), than I probably shouldn't point out that that I used his Backagra and coined tongue for this build? Don't worry, Swiss knows I'm just kidding

Lots of tuning features will be built in so when I make my 7-1/2 hour drive to test on the Rt. 93 American King, I'll be able to leave with it perfect for the Proxy

More pics when it happens.
BTW I got my ride back that I destroyed at Checkpoint... thanks for fixing it for me. (You know who.) Now it's way strong and I'm ready for another run.
