Hi,

I am just building up a vintage Strombecker 1/32 BRM - F1 body kit #8135-129 and wondered if anyone could tell me the width of the front and rear axles, or the track, measured at the centre line of the wheels or the width of the car measured at the outside of the wheels , so that I can use the correct axles. I will be using the Porsche wheels, kidney shaped hole design, which I think were used on this BRM.

This body was missing a rear cover plate, if anyone has a spare.

I have solved my width problem by finding some scale drawings and scaling the measurments to fit this body. 1.5" axles 50.9mm rear 49.1mm front

Gary, standard Strombecker serrated axles, quite narrow track with the plated "Dunlop" wheels in the kit.

OK here it is with original decals which were included in the kit. I had to coat them with Microscale Decal liquid to try to salvage them since they were already starting to break up.
