Flat track cars: what to look for?

Flat track chassis are of course a different animal and different rules applies to a flat track chassis what do you look for? :unsure:
Hell flat track racing is coming up next month at BP, and I need to be prepared for a change need your help on this one.
What type of chassis would you pick or build?

Besides short gearing, I would also use softer front wheels so the car has more give. With flat tracks the car will be much easier to drive if you can keep the RPM's up. I know the TSR 's usually like a bigger pinion like a 9 or 10 on a King but I would experiment with a 7 for a flat track. If you really want to get extreme don't forget they do make a very nice 6 tooth also.

Don't be afraid to sacrifice a body or two to determine best body position front to back and rear height. Taller on a flat track usually does not help. Even if the rear is a 1/16" lower than what you would normally run it will make a big difference in how the car handles.

A motor is only as fast as the chassis it's in.

Be careful upon launching brass cars at turn marshalls' testicles. This is one case in which having solid brass balls is not complimentary.

Now, 14-karat wedding tackle, that's another story altogether.
