After lane selections and a brief warmup, we were ready to go. Wes P. got out front early and looked like he might upset the field. Mike Iles moved in with 3 heats left and took over the lead and never looked back. Mike went on to win with Wes P. in second followed by Randy Kohr, Bill Gerhart, Mark Nicotera, Dale Granger, Matt Ramirez, and Mike Mankin who had trouble in heat 3.

Can Am cars were next up for the last event of the season. After hot laps, we were ready for qualifying. Matt Bruce won the M-D Retro Can Am pole award with a 5.3196.

The top 6 advanced to the A main, 7 through 12 went to the B. Bill Sutton won the B with Mike Mankin advancing as well in second. Mike Iles, Mike Spisak, Mark Nicotera and Ed Hilland followed. Unfortainatley, we misplaced the B main printout. We need a full time secretary for this series !
The A main was up next. The Can Am A main was scheduled for 4 minute segments, although some feared motor heat, there were no motor issues during the main !
After a brief warmup , we were ready to go. Randy Kohr got out front early followed by Matt Bruce. At the end of heat 1, Randy lost a gear and had to pull to correct the problem. Matt Bruce now led followed closely by Tony "THE TIGER" Lang and Mike Mankin. By heat 7 Tony had moved within striking distance and was pressing Matt for the lead. Matt eventually pulled away for a 3 lap win over Tony Lang who scored his first M-D Retro podium. Bill Gerhart got by Mike Mankin with 1 minute left in heat 8 to finish third. Mike Mankin had a great run with a fourth place followed by Doug Murphey, Dale Granger, Bill Sutton and Randy Kohr.
Randy locked up the M-D RETRO CHAMPIONSHIP for the second year in a row . Congrats to Randy !
