I just built two new WP Can-Am cars, one with and original WhitePoint plastic chassis, the other with my own resin copy:

White Point RS/RSR chassis.
Body mounts made of circuit board. Front weight/guide stop is home made

Neckcheese NWP1 resin chassis with brass guide tongue.

Both cars have Tom Anderson bodies and decals and my own Can-Am vac-formed driver inserts.

Good job, Niels! I was looking at the 2nd car and trying to remember whose car that livery belonged to, then I saw the Mecom decals... nice! I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and John Mecom had a facility out at Hobby Airport. I was 14-years old and riding around on a Honda 50. I went out there and bought a Nomex face cover so that I'd look "cool" riding on my Honda 50 in the winter. Cool. Honda 50. Somehow that just doesn't seem to go together. LOL :laugh2: Hey, I was 14!

Very cool indeed.
That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

I thought it was a Denny Hulme livery until I read the names on the body. I know nothing.

LOL :laugh2:

You should be able to field a track full of your cars; very nice!

 I must admit I cheated a bit with this car. I made the decals long time ago for the Redman T70 Coupe and had an extra set which I used for this car. Denny Hulme's T70 Spyder is almost identical apart from race number, sponsor markings and of course driver name :)

Actually i only have two CanAm cars - it's a policy of mine to only have 2 cara for each class I drive - the rest is sold off to friends.

But I often see the car I ahve built at races :D

I guess you could have mixed feelings about getting beaten by one of your own cars. It would be kind of a "win-win" situation though. :)

When you don't win yourself - it's a great pleasure at least to have built the winning car - I enjoy that (nearly) as much as winning myself :D

In 2011 so far this has not been a problem, as I have won the 3 first rounds in the Danish champs in both CanAm and retro F1 - so now I have a lot of points, but not many friends left

This year we have changed to foam tyres in both classes and I seem to have been the best to adapt to the slightly changed driving style demanded by the better grip of these tyres.
