Hello Racers and Builders,

I am pleased to announce that GRID is bringing another great model car racing product to North America. On Nick's Corvette Throw Down I posted a picture of the spectacular Lola T70 built by Michael Niemas.

Michael Niemas built this car using a Fein Design Modell kit designed and produced by Karl-Heinz Hornberg. Anyone experienced with Hornberg's work knows that his kits are without equal. Production runs are limited and when they are gone... they're gone. We are very pleased that Karl-Heinz has chosen GRID as his exclusive representative in North America.

Typically two or three new cars are released each year complete with 'profiled' scale PU tires, windows, driver, interior, beautiful decals, photo-etched parts, detailed engine components, etc. etc. Absolutely everything you need to build a perfect body. Here is a look at the Lola T70 kit.

I am not sure how many different kits Hornberg has produced to date, all classic marques from the '60s and '70s and the majority celebrate the great Can-Am cars. Below are some first images of his next kit for the 1967 Ferrari F350 Can-Am that will be released and available here in late April.

Of course perfection always has a price... $250-$275 depending on kit. Pre-orders will be taken. Enjoy!

Sweet but is it just the body or a complete kit with a chassis?
My mistake the title is telling me what it is.
To much for me.

1967 Ferrari 350 Can Am as built by Christoph Heerdt

Hey Guys,

Well the first shipment of FEIN DESIGN MODELL kits have now arrived at GRID and it is true pleasure to be able to represent Karl-Heinz Hornberg and his company in North America. The first two kits to arrive include the1967 Ferrari 350 Can Am shown above and the 1970 Ferrari 512P Can Am as driven by Jim Adams at Riverside, California.

These are without question the finest Can Am body kits available anywhere and they are produced in very limited numbers, most accounted for by pre orders from European aficionados of Hornberg's workmanship and FEIN DESIGN MODELL never releases a second production. We still have 2 of each kit available. Once they are gone, they're gone. $269.99 shipping included. Only word of caution . . . we can't cure your addiction! Enjoy.

These are absolutely some of the best kit around period! And to top it off they are extremely durable if you are going to race these gems!

I have been building my BRM P154, and spent two years without finishing it :laugh2: but I will get there eventually, and of course my next project is a Lotus 40!

The money shelled out for these kits is well worth it, as they have all the right parts to make the most beautiful and scale correct classic cars around!

Hi Pål,

The BRM 154 kit is beautiful. I missed the initial release, they sold like hot bread, I had to have one and ended up paying almost double on eBay to feed the addiction.

The thing that really blows me away with these kits, yes the body is absolutely spectacular . . . but all of the small detail parts and the amount of time it must take Karl-Heinz to produce these. Plus a REAL top quality water slide decal sheet that truly fits the car. And to top top it all off there are true scale, profiled PU tires in the kit. Incredible!

Yes, the kits cost a few dollars but I really don't think it compares to the hours and hours of love that Karl-Heinz puts into these beautiful cars. And all of it demands as much or more from the builder to do it proud! Best regards.

WOW!!! Beautiful!!! My modeling skills are not that good to take on that body kit. But man, it would be cool to see a group of these cars racing!

Mark- On a side note, the PU tires included with these kits. Are they are on par with other brands tires (ScaleAuto, Plafit)?
