It's starting to get warm here, a little too soon to suit me! Anyway, here's a couple of pics that shows how Kyle has partitioned off part of the warehouse area of his sheetmetal business to house "Ranger Raceway". The plastic tarp got pulled back to let a little breeze in:

We were running a "Scale Racers of Texas" (SRT)race this past weekend at Ranger Raceway. We have a GTR and D3 Retro Can-Am race scheduled for later this month at RR; that's all that's scheduled for RR until the Fall when it begins to cool off. We're considering a D3 Retro Can-Am race sometime in the Summer, to accommodate a couple of reputed ne'er-do-wells from Florida visiting the DFW area.

Thanks for the pics, Tex. Nice track.

Do you run it clockwise or anti-clockwise? Love the sweeper; is it uphill or down?

Also looks like the turn at the top is off camber. Am I correct?

Should separate the drivers from the less experienced.

The track is run anti-clockwise. The finger at the end of the drivers panel has about 3-4 degrees of positive camber. The dead man is neutral camber going in and about 1 degree coming out. The banana goes from about 1 degree positive to about 2-3 degrees as you enter the donut going downhill. At the exit of the donut it goes back to about neutral camber. The back 90 and the lead-on 90 are both about 1 degree positive. The banana is a 25 ft. inside radius turn. There is 9" of space between the outside lane and the wall all around the track, so there is really no gutter lane. All lanes are equal length. 130 ft. 4-1/4 lane spacing. Track is very fast.

This pic shows the extra runoff area.

Let me tell you all this is one fun track to drive!!! Kyle and Mike have come up with an awesome course, and also very quick, 4.2 sec. with a Cheetah 11 and Falcon 7, with either a GTR or GT1 body...

Almost makes it worth living in Texas....

I'm kidding, guys. It looks like a really fun track and Texas is on my short list for places to retire to.

That track is super nice. Maybe a portable warehouse fan and or air conditioner can be obtained down the road to keep you guys cool.
