I am currently building three 1/24 Ferrari 512M cars, one for myself (the 1971 no. 12 NART L Mans entry), Tthe 1971 Penske Daytona car for a friend, and the 1971 Piper LeMans entry for another friend.

The latter was finished first:

All three cars use the new German Werks DSC II chassis, which is really superbly manufactured and very promising.

The n. 16 car is a German GRP copy of the Fisher resin kit. The kit has the body, vac-formed windows, and a few resin parts, so some parts have to be made from scratch.

light kit is from z-machine and has brake lights and flashing exhausts

You can see a lot of photos of this and the other two cars here:

I look forward to testing the cars on the track. :-)

All the info on this chassis is available from slotracing-werk.de or that new-fangled Google thing (I'm betting it will never catch on).
That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

Sarcasm, Nesta. MG is chiding me for NOT doing the search myself regardless of my compliment of the builder and his... well. ;)

no sweat, Barney - the chassis is great - expensive, but very well thought out and 100% rady to race - no filing and grinding necessary.

my only problem is that the body is too nice to use it !!!! - sh.. haven't used it yet

hmmm - have to make a new body for the chassis
