Looks very clean - it has a purposeful look rather than show-car polished.
That's thirty minutes away. I'll be there in ten.

Hi Niels,

Yours is a model of the car before it was trashed (on purpose) by one of the works Porsche 917...

And after:

No doubt that without this assault on the car, the Penske team would have won that race and humiliated the John Wyer team.

The Penske Ferrari 512M was very impressive both visually and on the track - my guess is that it paved the way for the later Penske/Porsche deal?

Awesome work there, Niels!!

Ferraris in red are usually the preffered choice for replicating race cars, and sometimes yellow ones look cool too, but this one in the blue 'Sunoco' 'Penske' is my favorite of the trio.;)

One question: what kind/brand of wheels are you using? Are the tires rubber or foam rubber?

I assume they are aluminum wheels with resin inserts, but by looking at the pictures I cannot see the "transition" detail from wheel hub to insert, they almost look to be one piece castings.

Thanks for posting the pictures.

I use German Werks or Bleck wheels, 16mm outer dia and 15 inner dia with my own resin inserts

the tires are dictated by the rules and are German Polyurethane (PU) tires from Werks - Wiesel 10 Obzid is the name. I prefer foam tires, but one has to follow the rules :-(
