Two Lotus 49 cars for the Danish 1:24 retro F1 class. Bodies from Howmet tx and Indycar decals. Chassis homebuilt.

Posted Image

The chassis for the Gold Leaf car - the other chassis is similar and the first I built of this type.

Now I am well equipped for the 3rd round of the Danish retro F1 Champs in Billund, DK on May, 28th :-)

They're too beautiful to race, keep them safe on the mantle. ;)

NoooOOOOooo... race 'em... they actually look better with a few battle scars!

And think of the poor drivers... how bored they must be when they're not out there on the track! :laugh2:

Beautiful work, Niels. :)

I remember Cap'n Rick posting an old ('68?) article by Mike Morrissey some time ago, in which he argued for scale-ish wheels 'n tyres on pro-cars. Rick built a gorgeous Ferrari P3 as a what-if.
Now Niels has done it for F1s.

Superb!
