Saturday's monthly D3 F1/Can-Am races returned to the BPR Flat track.

It was a very busy, crowded raceway as a big drag race meet was held all day (and into the wee morning hours of Sunday), as well as the second round of the Dynamic Challenge Thingie Proxy race on the King track.

The F1/Can-Am races started later in the day after the conclusion of the proxy race.

Thanks to Jim and Debby Watterson for their support of slot car racing (drag, proxy, D3) at Buena Park Raceway.

Thanks to our F1 and Can-Am race director: Hector Gonzalez.

Here's the complete race/photo report link:

I'm agree with Joe, it looks like a TonyP frame Can we see a photo without the tape?

rsz_p.jpg

You can barely see the "Skull" under the tape by the guide tongue. Also has the TonyP beveled area by the motor bracket to solder the motor in. Other signs are the cross sanding, lead wire holders attached to the hinge tube, and the thin wire to apply pressure to the pans.

Yeah, too many tonyP gizmos... wire holders, perfect weld notch in motor bracket, block sanded flat finish... oh, orange tape all over... LOL... could be a good copy though.

Well, Adam ran this cars on the King and did very well with it. I recall he said he build both chassis that was run on the King at BPR.

Maybe TonyP is making chassis kits? :laugh2:

It's good to know that others are watching the proceedings at BPR and are out there waiting to pounce on anything suspect!! :laugh2:

I DID run a Tony P chassis which worked great, came home second in the Can-Am. Thanks, Tony!!

Also thanks to Rob Hanson for the super F1 car which came home second also. Thanks, Rob!!

Congrats Duran on both wins.

Some very close finishes in both races and Phil Nyland nipped Mill Conroy by INCHES for third in Can-Am.

NorCal racer and super scratchbuilder, Jim Fowle,r ran great as usual as did Jeff Bell. Thanks for coming down!

Thanks Hector for race directing and thanks Barney for the pizza after the Dynamic Proxy races. Great fun!!

Thanks again, Tony P, and Rob Hanson for the excellent chassis. I'll try to drive harder next time!! :laugh2:

Nesta, no kits here, especially with the parts engraved with a skull, date built, and all the other crap I put on them. LOL.

I got paid big evil bucks for them, do what you want with them. But I bet you would be surprised to see what it says under the tape. LOL...

tonyp,

I know you don't make kits (you might have made a lot of money). ;)

Back to the story of my pal Adam, is it your chassis or his?

It's Tony's for sure. Go back a couple of races and there are more pics where you can see the engraving on the top side.
