Also, what type of chassis came with the original car? I'd like to build it back to the original configuration if possible. Thanks!

Are the rim inserts also used in other cars?
Because one of the chrome inserts has poor chrome on it!
i have another set of these inserts... but i don't know if they belong to another car... or if the Vampire came with extra spare parts!?!?
The Vampire sign on the back is unfortunately removed... even if it looks better without it. ;-)

Some info thanks to Dokk.
These are the same as used on the Monogram Scarab, basically a Cooper wheel. I am sure that there are replicas made because it is such a common insert. Try Al Penrose at BWA?
An interesting note: some of the Snake and Vampires came with BLACK (unplated) inserts. And the cars look better that way. I have never seen an Assassin with the black inserts, so I assume that the earlier models were the ones fitted that way.

I found some pictures... but there where no inserts in the rims!
The difference to the web pictures is also, that my Scarab has less holes in the chassis part!
Unfortunately the windscreen is missing...

This should be the MPC Scarab... sold with no inserts... is this correct??
The driver and the seatcover were also not painted!!

Not sure about inserts for that car. I'm guessing it did not have inserts.
The Monogram is later 1962 Scarab Mk 4.

I am only showing for illustration as I do not know the seller. You made be able to find one closer to you. They did not reissue a lot of these and they are becoming a little tough to find. A good price is somewhere between $15 and $25 when you can find them.
Just a note, the reissue has all the slot conversion parts included but the body does not have posts anymore.
Here is what they look like.

The Monogram Vampire was the only one of the three Monogram "dream cars" to have a separate interior because it was a coupe. That interior was specific to the model.
