Is there a step by step on how to build such a beast?
After my recent investment of a Difalco e'motion 3 I find myself a tad short on funds and in need of a tire trimmer.

If there is no such thing as a diy trimmer what would be the least costly option?

Thanks

You could use a door hinge and set up an axle tube on one side with sand paper on the other. Koford use to make one back in the 90's.

A motor is only as fast as the chassis it's in.

There is this one;

on the SSME Slot Cars website.

It's pretty basic, but it works.

I remember guys using ones like that but it wasn't a Koford product.

JK might of been the seller of it.

If you are looking to cut down the dia. accurately, I wouldn't waste my time
with a DIY type, unless you are a machinist.

I suggest borrowing someone else's until you can afford a Hudy, be it new or used.

You could buy an RC car armature lathe and start from there. They go cheap on ebay, since RC cars have gone to brushless motors and dont need to cut comms any more

Do you know anyone with a drill press or a Bridgeport milling machine? I use to true my slot car tires and my RC tires on either a drill press or a Bridgeport, mostly the Bridgeport at my Dad's pattern shop.
