The real ones will be ready for our Race #3 in March.
I will find a way to make a good use of the design of Tokyo D3 plaques for the Western States and/or the Check Point Cup in such a way as gift/prize plaques as a token of our good relationship to SoCal D3.
I will talk to Keith about this soon.

A very nice choice of the Gurney Eagle. Undoubtedly it is one of the best looking F1s ever. It also helps that Dan Gurney was my home town hero back then.

It looks like some new racers are getting involved in your race program, that's cool.

The 2 new racers joined Tokyo D3 at this race, one used to race some of our racers a long time ago and the other had hid very first chance to race a slot car after just 1 hour practice before the race.
At least 2 more new racers were supposed to race but they were not able to make it this time but they promised to do in April.
Keep racing,
Haruki
PS. The pictures of race are on the way.

I hope Ken-chan will join our racing program in April.

Hi, Burnie,Very nice report. I did notice one thing that is very differnet from Retro racing here in the States, your racers are a bit "slimmer" than ours ! Great job.
Since I started Retro racing in April, 2010 at BPR, my body has been "enhanced" in down-force/gravity more & more like my slot buddies in the States.

We had 2 new racers, The Chef Funakoshi & Umino.
The chef had never touched a slot car in his life until the morning of the race day but he did well.
Umino-san used to race with some of our Tokyo D3 racers a long time ago with Eurosports and other cars.
Masaru Sasaki, one of the fastest racers here, showed up after a while of absence. We had never known he had a light stroke but was recovering all right. Welcome back, Masaru! Nob Hanada, encouraging him to join the race by giving his extra F-1 car, showed his warm welcome to Masaru. He ran the car very well but this time he did not race but stayed until the end of the raceday, helping us in marshaling. Thanks a lot, Masaru.
In Can-Am, Akitani TQed at his very first lap with the new OS Ti 22R, follwed by myself. Both of us broke our track record.
Tebu & I had a very close racing. Tebu finally won when I deslotted my car at the very last moment of the fianal heat, giving him a chance to pass me.
Sekiguchi, ex-factory RC racer of Kyosho, who had made a great progress with much practice, did very well both at the qualify & race.
Akitani TQed and Tebu won the race with new OS Ti 22R, while I am using True Scale Ti 22 Kirby/Long.
The F-1 race was a very close racing.
The Fast Ryu won the race, with our Chassis Kit Guy, Nob Hanada, finished 3rd with the same total laps of the 4th and 5th finishers.
From this race, I changed glue from Camen Heavy to Koford Medium, following the good advises at Slotblog.
The track condition was better than before.
I will also try Champion Lite, following the advise of Mike Swiss.
We had a great fun again.
Keep racing,
Haruki
