How many eight-lane commercial ovals tracks in operation currently?
Eight-lane club ovals are in operation currently?
If you know of any, please state size and location?
Who has the biggest? - My guess would be the 175' Daytona at The Race Place in Holly Hill, FL.

My favorite form of slot racing...
We currently have four in the Penn-Ohio Retro Series, which is the basis of our IRRA stock car class.

Washington Slot Car Club, Meadowlands, PA ... Jim Verga-built 'Bullring' oval
Rte. 93 Raceway, Akron, OH ... custom-built oval (one banked turn was salvaged from a
paperclip road course)
MMW, Canton, OH ... custom-built tri-oval
OTHERS:
Rt. 66 Speedway, New Bethlehem, PA ... Gerding-built tri-oval (formerly at Sonny's in NJ)
HMS Speedway, Ohio ... small six lane oval
HeBe Speedway, PA ... Ogilvie-built oval (home to the Scale Dirt Racing Club)
DT Hobbies, Hanover, PA ... Tri-oval
TKO Raceway, PA ... oval?

Denny Murray has a lil bull ring oval in his garage thats a riot.
My favorite class has always been the Sprint Cars, and the Womp Modifieds...
Retro stock cars are fun, I'm really glad I've got a decent pair, cant wait to join the Penn-Ohio guys for some oval races

2. 90' (Ogilvie?) tri-oval at Top Slots Raceway, Del City, OK (next door to Oklahoma City)
3. Very small 4 lane oval at The Race Place, Joplin, Mo.
All 3 tracks are listed in Cheater's raceway directory.

12th scale Nascar slots. They run every other lane.

The track looks awesome!
Do they run like Associated 12L's with guide flags, or what?

Wow, never heard of that (I don't get out much). That would be cool. I'd like to see that.

No, they use a 12th scale NASCAR body and R/C wheels, but the chassis is scratch built using a 16D motor.

Very cool... would love to see a photo showing a typical chassis.
What gear ratio?

I have no idea as I don't have one of those cars. Perhaps someone on the blog has one and can post some pics.

Is Hildebran still open? I was told they closed that track down. There is another track in Hilderbran also, Ed Canter owned it. It was is the old Hilderbran Jr High School buidling. I think someone has purchased it and moved it though.
That could be, I haven't been there for quite a while. I have seen their Tri County Hobbies truck in Mooresville near Race City Raceway from time to time.
